University officers training corps – quick questions?

Hi ive got a couple of questions regarding the british army, officer training corps.
Firstly, does experience in the OTC improve your chances of joining the armed forces after university, such as the royal marines, or the regular army?
Secondly, what is involved in the selection process of joining the OTC, is it as difficult as the AOSB in the army (or for the royal marines, the POC and AIB).
Also is anyone here in the University Officer Training Corps? What’s your oppinion of it?

Royal Marines
The real grunts aren’t hanging around their computer trying to find a life. You will need a degree and consider yourself very lucky if they will consider you.
